The Hive | Honeycomb Mixing Glass

The Hive Mixing Glass is handblown, hammered, and cut by hand from ultra-clear lead-free glass — seamless, with a 3/4" thick weighted base that gives you the leverage and stability you need for a proper stir. The honeycomb pattern is etched into the glass, consistent with the rest of the Hive collection.

A mixing glass controls dilution differently than a shaker. For spirit-forward cocktails — an Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Negroni, Dry Martini — stirring preserves the aroma and character of the spirit in a way that shaking doesn’t. The Hive is sized for that job: 18 oz / 550ml for a single or double, 24 oz when you’re making two. The industry-standard width is compatible with Hawthorne and julep strainers. Dishwasher safe.

How to Use

• Old Fashioned, Manhattan, Negroni, Dry Martini — spirit-forward cocktails that benefit from stirring over shaking
• Stirring controls dilution; shaking introduces more water and air, which works for citrus-forward drinks but dulls the character of a good bourbon or whiskey
• Add ice, mixers, and bitters — stir until the outside of the glass frosts — strain and pour
• Use larger ice cubes for slower dilution; smaller cubes chill faster but dilute more
